2026: A special anniversary year: 40 YEARS OF EMOTIONS ON THE RAILS
Since 1986, the Steam Train of the Cevennes has vibrated the valley between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard. Here, one doesn't just board a train; one embarks on a journey through time, at the rhythm of steam, Cevennes landscapes, and living heritage.
This line has a strong history, deeply linked to the territory and its environment. And if it continues to exist today, it's thanks to a collective adventure made of passion, skill, and hard work: maintenance, restoration, transmission... Even when one doesn't see it running, the steam is prepared backstage.
In 2026, we celebrate 40 years of existence. 40 years of shared memories, whistles, smoke, and emotions. A special anniversary season to be lived fully, with surprises and unique events.
Forty years later, the magic is still there... and the adventure continues, more alive than ever.

April 4 & 5, 2026 – Train of a Thousand Sparks
Departing from Anduze, live a nocturnal fairy train journey by steam train at the heart of the Cevennes, between lights, fireworks, and a spectacular stop under the stars.
September 12 & 13, 2026 – Steam Madness
A festive weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Steam Train of the Cevennes: animations, fairground atmosphere, and steam locomotive parade.
