Plus d'information :

Situated at the heart of the village, the imposing Villerouge-Termenès Castle represents one of the finest examples of medieval military architecture.
The earliest historical data concerning it date back to the 12th century: it was then the possession of the powerful Archbishopric of Narbonne and remained so until the French Revolution. Today owned by the Commune, it has undergone particularly meticulous restoration.
It houses an original scenographic tour (in 3 languages) that allows visitors to discover, through audiovisual animations (videos, slides...), the history of Villerouge in the Middle Ages. A history closely linked to the end of Catharism.
Mannequins, frescoes, and models enrich the visit. The walkway and the keep complete it.
