Plus d'information :

In addition to the evocation of the Remy garrisons from the Belle Époque era, the museum highlights several remarkable pieces: the famous French 75 cannons, a gallery dedicated to trench artillery – notably the dreaded "Crapouillots" –, as well as memorabilia from the Russian Expeditionary Force in Champagne. The exhibition also pays tribute to René Dorme, a French aviation ace credited with 23 confirmed victories, who died over Fort de la Pompelle on May 25, 1917.

One of the museum's jewels is the impressive collection of Imperial German military headgear from Charles Friesé’s former collection, featuring more than 300 unique pieces. Among other notable objects, one can admire a Russian cavalry officer’s coat belonging to Emperor William II. A dozen mannequins from the era also illustrate the uniforms of various belligerents.

In 2016, a new museography was implemented following the second phase of the fort's renovation works:

- The evolution of French uniforms is presented in the powder magazine, staged with personal effects of soldiers.
- The Friesé Gallery offers an unprecedented approach to German military headgear and highlights veterans' memories, the daily life of the poilus, as well as French trench craftsmanship.

Finally, the surroundings of the fort reveal a rich natural heritage. Thanks to the free Baludik app, visitors can follow an interactive treasure hunt that guides them in discovering the war traces left in this environment while highlighting local fauna and flora.
