From June 14 to September 14, 2025, an exhibition featuring nearly 90 works from the Pinault Collection will take place in Rennes. This exhibition confronts visitors with a variety of faces and portraits, famous or unknown, tracing the evolution of a major genre in the history of art over the centuries.

Photographs, paintings, sculptures, and films from the Pinault Collection offer a reflection on appearances and illusions, and question how artists have approached these issues. The exhibition, spread across six sections in the vast spaces of the Couvent des Jacobins, invites visitors to reflect on self-representation and that of others.
