Following the lake towards the Chautagne region, one crosses the GR® 65, a historic trail that is part of the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle pilgrimage route, offering a clear view of the Jura. To the south, the summits of the Dent du Chat and the Molard Noir are very popular hiking destinations. Near Chambéry, several routes allow walking in the footsteps of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, an author who drew inspiration from the beauty of this region for his works.
The Lake of Bourget, at the crossroads of mountains and crystal-clear waters, is thus an ideal destination for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and water sports enthusiasts.
