Today, the important remains, partly restored, allow for a better understanding of the castle architecture from that era. The chateau notably preserves its defenses dating back to the 12th century as well as some of its residential parts, offering insight into the exceptional comfort one could find there at that time. The site remains a fascinating testimony to medieval history and architectural evolution in Île-de-France.
The association, founded for the preservation and enhancement of the medieval chateau of Brie-Comte-Robert, offers workshops, archaeology and restoration courses. They also organize guided tours and cultural events such as European Heritage Days to raise public awareness about local history.
