An ideal site for climbers
The Lake Pavin site is not only a geological marvel but also an ideal playground for climbers. A basaltic organ cliff, 25 meters high and oriented to the South-West, hosts 24 climbing routes. These routes offer different levels of difficulty, ranging from 4 to 6C, to cater to both beginners and more experienced climbers.

A paradise for anglers
Anglers also find their delight at Lake Pavin, which is particularly conducive to salmonid fishing. The waters harbor a great variety of fish such as trout and perch, but also an exceptional resident: the char, renowned for the finesse of its flesh, which resides in the cool depths of the lake. Angling on Lake Pavin can only be practiced under specific conditions and is allowed only from boats.
