Plus d'information :

One of the park's strengths is its international recognition as a UNESCO Global Geopark, obtained in 2017 due to its geological richness. The subsoil and surface of the Causses du Quercy conceal true geological treasures, ranging from spectacular caves and sinkholes to unique rural architecture made of dry stone walls, caselles, gariottes, and butterfly-shaped launder houses. This exceptional geological heritage not only tells the story of rock formations but also that of Man, whose presence in the region dates back several millennia.

The park is also known for offering one of France's purest skies, allowing for rare clarity astronomical observations. Finally, the Célé Valley, crossing through the park, is a special place imbued with unique beauty and local legends. In this natural setting, each visit is an invitation to discovery, wonder, and the preservation of a fragile and precious heritage.
