Réserve Naturelle du Courant d'Huchet

To discover the beauty of Huchet Current, there is nothing like a walk in a galupe, a traditional boat that allows you to glide silently over its calm waters. This outing, a true immersion in nature, takes you through a changing landscape, between dunes and shaded forests. From Lake Leon to the estuary, where the current meets Moliets Beach, visitors cover seven kilometers of unique sensory experience.

As you follow the water, your gaze is lost in lush vegetation while your ears enjoy the songs of birds. Indeed, this site hosts over 200 bird species, as well as mammals such as otters, mink, or even terrapins, small freshwater turtles.
