









Open all weekends (Saturday 2 pm to 6 pm - Sunday 2 pm to 6 pm) and additionally during school holidays (Area A) from Tuesday to Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm (closed on Monday and public holidays).

About one and a half to two hours are necessary for visitors to explore the museum collections occupying slightly more than 950 m².
Guided and commented visits mainly focus on retracing the living conditions of railway men and Ambérieu from 1856, without neglecting the technical aspects related to their profession.
During the visit, the public is invited to follow the explanations provided in front of the main reconstructions (some of which are animated): the steam locomotive, lampisterie, electric machine, braking system, signal box, railway station ticket office, dormitory and fireplace, as well as the medical cabinet...
