The cave is visited on foot (about an hour) with a guide along a trail following the underground river.
Schools: The cave visit allows for the exploration of natural science and prehistory concepts. There is a possibility of animation retracing the history of the earth (discovery of fossils) and early humans (contact with first tools, discovery of dolmens, first artworks) using authentic archaeological materials. This also enables the discovery of archaeology and paleontology professions.
Associative groups, clubs: The cave allows for large group meetings (up to 35 people or more per visit if needed, and visits can follow each other) and has a large monitored parking area capable of safely accommodating motorcycles and classic cars. During the high season, the large picnic area around the site along the forest edge is particularly pleasant. A one-and-a-half-hour hike around the cave (easy difficulty) to discover prehistoric dolmens in Foissac complements the site visit.
Senior clubs and accessibility: The entrance shaft to the cave is a 78-step staircase (4 floors) to descend and ascend. In the rest of the tour (400m to explore), the entire path consists of non-slip concrete with ramps along the entire route and some short staircases occasionally. While the entrance steps can sometimes be intimidating, the rest of the visit is done at a calm pace that generally does not pose any difficulties. For those who do not wish to descend into the cave, the museum tour is offered, including a film recapitulating the visit. A large sunny terrace also allows for waiting with a hot or cold drink.
