Château de Voltaire à Ferney

A few minutes from Geneva, a grand 18th-century château, designed by Voltaire who spent 20 years of his life there. He continued his battles against intolerance and injustices and his writer's activity in the castle.
Theatrical performances are given in the château and many guests from all over Europe come to visit.
Visiting Voltaire's château is also meeting the engaged writer and philosopher, discovering collections of Voltairian works and objects in a setting that evokes this exceptional man.
